Fatima was born in the town of Demnant and moved to Ait Bougamez when her husband found work as a blacksmith several years ago. Wardia and Hasna, two of Fatima’s four children, are curren members of Timdokal Ighrem. She has worked in the association since it began in 2011 and specializes in embroidery and makes many of the small wool bags the association produces.
Mariam is an Agouti native and has lived in the village her entire life. Unlike many of the girls in her village, she was able to attend high school and has taken on a leading role in the association. She hopes through the sales of her items on Anou that they will be able to fund a brighter future for Agouti's women!
Fatima was born in the village of Agouti in the 1980’s. She studied until middle school but unfortunately had to drop out when she became ill.
Later, Fatima became a teacher at a locally run pre-school where she teaches all the children in the village of Agouti how to read and write.
Fatima learned how to weave from her mom in her home growing up and specializes in making pile knot rugs. Due to her skill, she quickly joined Association Timdokkals as soon as it was established. She uses the money she earns from the association to buy everyday items. She hopes that her and her association’s rugs become well known throughout the world.
Wardiya was born in 1988 in Demnat divorced and has one daughter . her family moved to Akouty because her father works there as smith . she became a member in this workshop to learn the crafts and to earn some , she practice weaving with other women from the same area
Hkira was bor in 1966 in Ait Ouli. She is non-schooled. She is married and has 3 children. She learn rug weaving from her mother sinche childhood and she joined he cooperative in order to develop her craft and her art.
Fatima is born in 1975 in Amgheran. She then moved to Ait Bouguemaz where she married. She is now a widow with 2 girls. She is non-schooled and learned weaving rugs from her mother and other women in her village. She joined the cooperative to support herself financially and to improve he situation.
Ouda was born in 1965 in Ait El Abbas. She is a widow with 5 kids. Ouda learned the craft from the women of the region specialized in lHanbl. She joined the association in order to develop her skills.
Fatima was borne in 1970 in Akouti divorced , has one daughter . because of her family situation she never has been at school. she has learned the job from her childhood she can weaves rugs djellaba and other things , she comes to the workshop for working and earn her life, she hops the best
Meriem was born in Akouty in 1976, widow , mum of five children and no school . from her childhood she learned by mum to daughter . her specialty is carpet weaving . she works in a workshop to benefit and help her family
