I'm Sara, I'm 26, married and a mother of two. I dropped out of school my last year in primary school. I have a six year experience working in this cooperative. My mother taught me the craft of making rugs, I also joined in hopes of having a steady income to benefit my kids and also I just love making rugs, It's a passion of mine. I hope our cooperative succeeds even more in the future.
Rachida Bezzi
My name is Rashida Bazzi, I am 43 years old and single. I did not learn to read and write. Iโve worked in the cooperative for 6 years. I learned the craft of rugs from my mother. My idea was to get in a cooperative in order to help my family financially. I consider making rugs an art and I developed my style over the years and hope to help my cooperative to reach success.
VISIT THE VILLAGE
Cooperative Tizi Nougdal hosts visitors in their village — share tea, watch the artisans at work, and see the craft up close. Visits start at $17 per person, and most of it goes straight to the group.
