In Tighadouin, close to Ait Warir is about 70km from Marrakech. This area is famous for its natural springs that come from the mountains. A myth of the area goes that if a sick man comes to drink from the well, he will become healthy. The cooperative itself was formed in 1999 to create a space for women who had never attended school how to weave. This offered a space for women of the village to earn sustainable income independently. Now nearly 60 women are part of the cooperative, and are excited to be new members of the Anou Community.
