About Cooperative Timndwine
The Cooperative Timndwin was established on June 5, 2017, in the Lmers community, belonging to the Boulemane region in the Middle Atlas. The village is situated 150 kilometers east of the city of Fes. The region is distinguished by the diversity of its hamlets, whose residents are affiliated with the honorable Adrars. These inhabitants used to commemorate an annual season dedicated to the righteous governor Sidi Ali Ouhayha, but they discontinued this practice since 1992. Nevertheless, they still preserve cultural and educational festivals. The area is characterized by its diverse plant cover, including various medicinal and aromatic plants such as thyme and lavender. This has encouraged the population to engage in beekeeping, along with a focus on livestock breeding. Women in the region are involved in textile work, spinning, and weaving. The area is a significant tourist hub due to its diverse topography, attracting geologists who come to explore the remnants of dinosaur fossils.
