TRIALS OF DESIGN

"This rug is my favorite on Anou because it was the result of our first design workshop. We didn't quite know how artisans would absorb concepts of design so it was new for all of us. One of the standard ideas we taught the was to try and take two things you like, or two popular products and creatively 'merge' them together. In this case, the artisan went off and literally combined the two most recent designs that had sold. The first in what would be many lessons on teaching design."
