Every rug is woven by hand on a loom, so sizes vary a little. Cooperatives differ in how tightly they hold to a target — this tells us who to send your rug to.

PRICING, IN THE OPEN
Custom rugs are priced by area, so the honest answer is a rate per square metre. These are the real bands our cooperatives have been paid for finished rugs, including Anou's 23% fee and excluding shipping:
A 200 × 300 cm rug is 6 m². Multiply the per-m² figure by your own area for a rough number, or use the form above, which does it for you and adds shipping to your country.
Area. A 400 × 300 cm rug is twice the work of a 300 × 200 cm one.
Technique. Pile knotting takes far longer per square metre than flatweaving.
Who weaves it. Cooperatives set their own prices. We show you the band.
Shipping. Rugs are heavy. The form quotes each option to your country.
The cooperative sets its own timeline when it confirms your price — typically several weeks for a large pile rug. You'll see the deadline they commit to, and you can follow progress photos as the rug is woven.
