HERITAGE STAYS HOME
Not sure who should make your design? We advise on which region and group it belongs to — so Morocco's regions earn from their own heritage, not a copy made elsewhere.
YOU WATCH IT HAPPEN
Instant quote, the weavers confirm before you pay, then daily photos and messages from the loom until it ships. Remake-or-refund, guaranteed.
A RECENT COMMISSION
She found a rug she loved by Cooperative Timdokkals, but the width fell short of her living room. She commissioned it in her size, watched it come together on the loom, and this is it on her floor.
Every commission works this way: any piece an artisan has posted can be made to your size, your colors, your specifications.
The original — 6' 2" wide
Samantha's — made to 8' 2"
PRECISE TO THE YARN
Every yarn in the Fes atelier has a number in the color book. With the color annotator, you drop a numbered yarn directly onto a photo of the piece — before it's made, or while it's still on the loom.
The weavers see exactly which color goes where. Nothing gets lost between your screen and the loom.
FOLLOW THE LOOM
Your commission dashboard connects you directly to the weavers. They send progress photos and videos as your piece comes together; you reply with messages translated in real time.
Fine-tuning colors? Mark up progress photos with the color annotator while the piece is still on the loom, so it comes out exactly as you imagined.

Anou is committed to building the best supply chains in Morocco, starting with the AWSco mill in Aït Bouguemez. Every custom rug is made with yarns hand-sorted by artisans and spun at the zero-carbon mill — staffed by weavers from across the country — then dyed to order in Fes.
Fiber, spinning, dyeing, weaving: every step of your commission happens in artisan hands, and every step is paid at the source.

Yes — upload a photo or sketch through any product page and the weavers will confirm what they can make. We only remake designs we have the right to: original works, traditional designs from their own regions, or pieces you own. If you are unsure, send it anyway and we will advise on the design and which region and group it belongs to.
If you start from a piece in the marketplace, the group that designed it makes it. If you bring your own design, we advise on which region and group it belongs to. Every group's accuracy, pricing, and delivery record is public — if you need precision on a timeline, choose a group with a strong record; if you are flexible, a more affordable group may suit you.
Artisans set their own prices, and there is no commission fee — the quote is instant and non-binding, and usually lands near the price of a comparable listed piece. Nothing is charged until the weavers confirm.
Every commission is backed by the Anou Cooperative guarantee: if your order doesn't come out as agreed, it will be remade or fully refunded.
